out with the neighbors!
we hadn't seen tracy, adam and max in forevs, so we knocked on their door saturday and luckily they were home. max is so grown-up now. he showed us his toy cars, did tummy time with stella and told us about school with natalie, yes our auntie natalie. max goes to natalie's school, oceanview montessori.

8 months!
stella is 8 months and so much fun to be around! she is pretty hilarious and we are really enjoying her little personality. she has two teeth, and can sit up on her own, gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth, scoots all around, does little terds that are like rocks, waves randomly at people, giggles and laughs when tickled, still has very little hair, sleeps almost all the way through the night (phew!) and observes EVERYTHING! its safe to say, we love her!

weekend in the redwoods
last weekend we spent a lot of time in the redwoods and it was beautiful! the first was on saturday in muir woods, we went on a 5-6 mile hike and stella was loving it. we took her out of the ergo for a bit and she rode on rob's shoulder, laughing up a storm.

then on sunday we went to visit mandy and steve in santa rosa and went to amstrong woods. another wonderful hike, not quite as rigorous. we were happy to see mandy and steve, since it had been super long and they are now married and planning to move to georgia. steve got to hold stella and i think these two are already good friends.

steam train
we took stella to the steam trains in tilden today, one of my favorite places to go as a kid. she didn't quite know what to make of the whole experience, but definitely liked to look at all the other kids, listen to the choo-choo sounds from the conductor and watch the scenery go by. in the end, she seemed to have warmed up to it quite a bit. we'll be coming here again for sure!

not so sure of this...

ok, love it!
